I'm a product designer who used to (and still!) have aspirations of becoming a writer. As a result, my work is powered by communication and I think of design as a visual language. To me, writing wells means being able to translate an idea well, and translating ideas well is crucial to design as a discipline.

Growing up, I was infatuated with online communities like Tumblr and Wattpad. The human aspect of technology is my favorite consideration of being a product designer -- being able to solve problems for people while maintaining a coherent visual language.

I currently design note-taking experiences at Notability in San Francisco, where I work primarily on our Learn product to enable students to study better. Before Notability, I contracted at non-profits, start-ups, and public companies.
