Sunroom

Sunroom is a Los Angeles based and women-run consumer social startup whose mission is to foster "a new culture around content monetization, one that empowers creators to get out of their head and into their bag." As of August 2025, Sunroom has been acquired by the creator monetization platform Fanfix.

From the summer of 2023 to spring 2024, I interned at Sunroom as a product and brand designer. During my time there, I worked on various projects, including the creation of trust & safety features, the re-design of their micro-payment in-app currency to re-inventing onboarding. My summer at Sunroom was transformative — it was my first time working at a startup as one of the sole designers, and I had the privilege of being managed by Lucy Mort, who previously led Hinge's 2016 redesign and taught me so much about the consumer social space, the startup space, and the experience design process.
